To borrow money from your broker against your shares (an unrestricted-purpose securities loan, 不限用途款項借貸), go to Records → Pledge loans.
Fill in a name (for example “Yuanta pledge-1”), draw date, loan amount and annual rate, then pick the pledged stocks and shares (“Add collateral” adds more), and click “Record loan”. The money goes into your settlement account; borrowed money is not capital.
Under each loan, choose “Repay principal”, “Pay interest” or “Draw” to record changes. Once the principal is fully repaid, the collateral is released automatically.
If prices fall and you need to add collateral, add another stock; click the padlock to release one.
Pledge loans: each loan's outstanding principal, collateral value and maintenance ratio
The loan (principal + accrued interest) is listed as a liability. Pledged shares still count as assets but can't be sold or lent out. You are reminded when the maintenance ratio falls below the alert line (130% by default).
